Can you describe “coffee” without saying “cup,” “drink” or “caffeine”?

Put your clue-giving skills to the test with Say It Without It!, a word guessing card game for 3–8 players. Draw a card, describe the target word and help the others guess it—while avoiding the banned words printed below it.

With 50 cards and a suggested playing time of approximately 15 minutes, this party card game is an easy activity to bring to after-dinner gatherings, game nights and trips with friends.

Familiar Words, Unexpected Challenges

The illustrated cards feature everyday subjects such as coffee, umbrellas, headphones and pizza. The challenge comes from explaining a familiar word without using some of its most obvious descriptions.

Describe, Listen and Guess

One player gives clues while the others try to identify the target word. Each card’s banned-word list encourages different descriptions, keeping everyone focused on what is being said.

Simple Three-Step Play

Shuffle the deck, draw a card and start describing. A correct guess scores a point, then play continues with another card.
